Canon Digital Camera Printer

Digital Camera Printer: Canon Direct Print SystemCanon offers a wide variety of quality products that complement each others including digital camera printer.

One advantage of getting a digital camera is that you can print your pictures yourself. Canon is making this process easy with the Direct Print System.

You can always use your computer to download (or upload) the pictures from the memory card of your digital camera. You can also print the pictures using editing software (provided by Canon).

But you can now enjoy the convenience of the Direct Print System. Some Canon Powershot digital cameras with Direct Print Mode enable users to connect directly to one of several Canon Photo Printers at the simple touch of a button.

PictBridge Compliant

Canon PowerShot cameras support the PictBridge standard, which enables direct printing connections between any compliant camera and printer regardless of the manufacturers of the equipment.

PicBridge is gaining in popularity as an industry standard but is a recent introduction.

True One-Touch Printing/Transfer

New PowerShot cameras with the Print/Share button make it easier than ever before to print photographs or transfer image files to a Windows computer directly.

When the camera is in playback mode and connected to a compatible Canon photo printer or PictBridge compliant printer, the Print/Share button will light blue. This tells the user he/she can print or transfer the image being viewed simply by pressing the button.

For the PowerShot models without the Print/Share button, you still can take advantage of this great system.

Instead of using the Print/Share button, simply select the desired image and print size using the LCD menu. You can even crop the image to your liking.

The following models don’t have the Print/Share button:

PowerShot A300, A310, A60, A70, A75, A80, SD10, SD110, S400, S410, S500, S50 S1 IS, G5 and Pro 1.

Digital Cameras Review Online Verdict:

These mobile printers are good but I am not a big fan. If you travel a lot
and need to print your pictures on the spot then it's a good buy.

But if you can wait until you come back home to print your pictures, invest your money on a regular bubble jet printer.

You can get an excellent digital camera printer to print your pictures and more for around $160 and you won't be limited in paper size.

If you are using the proper paper, a good bubble jet printer will surprise you by the quality of the picture that you can print yourself.
