Memory

A 32MB memory card is included when you purchase a Nikon 5400. With this memory card, you will take approximately 12 pictures!

You will need to get an extra memory card. I suggest getting a 256MB memory card to start. It's not too expensive (around $55) and you will take approximately 100 pictures before having to empty your card.

Even better if you can fit a 512MB or 1GB in your budget. With a 512MB will be able to take 204 pictures and 409 pictures with the 1GB.

Compact Flash is the memory card type for the Coolpix 5400.
