Memory
The memory card supplied for the Kodak DX6440 is a 16MB. WIth this memory card you will take approximately 10 pictures, so you will need to get another card.
Different sizes are available. I recommend the 256MB because it's not too expensive (around $50) and you will take about 128 pictures with a card of that size.
If you can fit a 512MB or 1GB in your budget it's even better.
You need to buy a memory card of type MMC/SD (Multimedia or Secure Digital).

Case
You must buy a carry case for your new digital camera. They are very affordable (from $6.00) and you will protect your digital camera.
They are also practical to carry your extra memory cards and batteries.
