A 32MB memory card is supplied when you purchase the Canon S50.

With a 5 megapixel resolution, will take approximately 12 pictures with a 32 MB memory card.

With a 256MB you will take around 100 pictures, with a 512MB around 204 and with a 1G memory card you can take up to 410 pictures.

As you can see, you will need to buy an additional memory card to enjoy all the possibilities of this digital camera.

You must buy a case for your digital camera. They are practical, useful and will protect your camera. They are also very affordable.

The Canon S50 is equiped with a good lithium battery. I recommend to get a second battery if you will use your digital camera for long period without having any access to recharge your battery.

But having a back up is always a good idea.
